Cougars 13th After First Round at Samford

HOOVER, Ala. – SIUE Men's golf is 13^th of 18 competing teams after one complete round at the Samford Intercollegiate. The Cougars finished with a combined first round score of 314.

The tournament, being held at Hoover Country Club, was suspended during Monday's second when several schools were unable to complete their second round due to darkness. The second round will be completed Tuesday morning before the final round is played.

Alex Knoll is the only Cougar in the top 30. He leads SIUE after one round with a 77, which is tied for 28^th. Mitchell Homb, Taylor White and Taylor Cox each carded first round scores of 79, which ties them for 51^st. Grant Wynia is tied for 72^nd with a score of 81.

SIUE was able to complete its second round and will conclude the tournament with the third and final round Tuesday.
