The long-time leading scorer in school history, Keil Peebles left his mark on Cougar basketball. He played for SIUE from 1975 to 1979 when the program didn't have a true home. Still, he finished with 1,824 points, now second all-time. He is first all-time at SIUE in field goals made with 750 and field goal attempts with 1,638. His scoring average of 17.4 points per game in 105 contests still ranks among the program's best. Peebles earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from SIUE in 1979.<br>
