2012-2013 will mark T.J. Gray's third season as SIUE's Director of Basketball Operations. He came to SIUE after previously working with Full Package Athletics, helping athletes improve their basketball skills. Gray is involved in many facets of the program including travel plans, practice preparation, managing the recruiting database and film exchange with opposing teams. Gray began his playing career at Western Illinois, where he played for two seasons. He played a single season at UIC before finishing his career at SIUE.

Gray earned his Bachelors Degree from Illinois-Chicago in Business Management in 2007. He earned a Masters Degree in Sports Management from SIUE in 2010.

As a player:

SIUE, 2007-2008: Spent one season as a player at SIUE, under coach Forrester. He earned All-GLVC Second Team honors in 2007-08, when he shattered the school record for three pointers made, making 102 triples during the season. Gray led the team in scoring, averaging 16.6 points for the season. He registered the most steals on the team for the season with 49, and also shot a team-best .833 from the free throw line. He later played professionally with the Roseto Sharks in Italy's Serie C2. Gray, a Chicago native, currently resides in Edwardsville.

UIC, 2006-07: Made 20 appearances and nine starts in one season with the Flames, finished third on the team in scoring with 11.1 points per game...tied the UIC single-season record with 90 three-pointers made...shot 9 percent (34-for-38) from the free throw line and 4 percent from three-point range...led UIC in scoring in four outings...scored a career-best 22 points, including six three-pointers, Jan. 13 vs. Loyola...dished out a career-best five assists vs. Detroit Jan. 20...

Sat out the 2005-06 campaign per NCAA Transfers Guidelines

Western Illinois, 2003-2005: Two-year starter at Western Illinois University...averaged 7.2 points, 1.6 assists and 1.2 rebounds per game as a sophomore for the Leathernecks while shooting 43 percent from three-point range...as a freshman, averaged 10.0 points and 3.1 assists per outing en route to Mid-Continent Conference All-Newcomer Team accolades...set Leatherneck freshman records for three-pointers made and three-point percentage...scored in double figures 21 times during his time at Western Illinois, including a career-best 22-point effort versus Oakland on Jan. 5th, 2004.
