EDWARDSVIILE, Ill. - SIUE's January 21 Ohio Valley Conference men's basketball contest with Murray State has been selected for broadcast by ESPNU as part of the league's television package.
The telecast will be the first Nationally-televised basketball game from SIUE. Murray State is currently ranked in the Top 25 in both the ESPN/USA Today (No. 18) and Associated Press (No. 19) polls. Should the Racers remain in the Top 25, they will be the first Division I Top 25 opponent to play at SIUE.

When the OVC announced its ESPN basketball schedule on Oct. 5, there were three dates on the schedule designated as "wild card" dates where the game to be aired was not selected until 21 days before the contest, making sure an attractive matchup was televised, instead of having to determine the full schedule a month before the season began.
Entering tonight's action, Murray State (14-0, 2-0 OVC) and SIUE (4-7, 2-0 OVC) are two of four teams currently undefeated in OVC play. The Racers are currently one of four undefeated teams in Division I. SIUE is off to a 2-0 start in Conference play in its first full season of OVC competition.
The game at the Vadalabene Center was originally scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. but will tipoff at 8 p.m. to accommodate ESPNU.
The other "wild card" dates on the OVC's ESPN schedule for this year are Thursday, Feb. 2 and Thursday, Feb. 23.
ESPNU is available in the St. Louis area on all four major cable and satellite providers. The specific channels are listed below:
