SIUE improved to 5-5 with Sunday's win.
"Things are looking pretty good right now," SIUE Head Coach Gary Collins said.
Mitch Matecki reached on an infield hit to short with two outs, and then stole second base before scoring the game-winning run on Caldwell's double.
"The big thing was Mitch getting on base and moving into scoring position," Collins said. "Then Devin came through with a big hit."
Caldwell rapped a two-out single in the in the seventh inning to score James Vazquez with the tying run. Caldwell finished 2 for 5 with the two RBIs.
"I think Devin is finally turning the corner," Collins added.
