The purpose of SAAC is to support the mission of Athletics by providing a forum in which student-athletes and administrators can enhance the
athletics experience at SIUE for the student-athletes, the campus community, and the community-at-large through the examination of mutual
interests and concerns. The committee is comprised of a representative and an alternate representative from each athletic team and athletic
administrators. This group of student-athletes meets monthly.
2009-2010 SAAC Highlights
Raised $179 in one evening for the American Red Cross to help Haiti Relief Efforts
Raised over $600 and 2000 canned goods for local food pantry during the holidays
Provided support and encouragement to the athletes of Special Olympics of Illinois
Collected over $400 for Breast Cancer Awareness
