Lindsey Schmidt was named the Athletic Academic Advisor for SIUE Intercollegiate Athletics in April 2008. Her duties include advising students concerning University policies, career decisions, campus recourses and the selection of appropriate coursework. Lindsey also works with SIUE's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Schmidt assists Jaci Declue in advisement of student athlete's, registration and progress of all "non-declared" or "intent to declare" student-athletes and some academic support services for the Intercollegiate Athletics program insuring compliance with NCAA, Conference and University regulations. The St. Louis native previously held positions with Missouri MERS/Goodwill as a Grant Coordinator, a Youth Specialist for the MO Division of Youth Services and a Psychiatric Tech at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis. Schmidt was a four-year starter for the UT Martin volleyball team from 1999 through 2003. She helped UT Martin to Ohio Valley Conference regular season championships in 2001 and 2002. In addition, Stock helped UT Martin to a 2002 OVC conference tournament title, where she was named the Most Valuable Player. Schmidt received bachelor's degree from UT Martin in 2003 in Psychology. She earned her master's degree in Sports Exercise & Behavior from SIUE in 2009.
