Glick Named Marketing Specialist for SIUE Athletics

EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. - Mason Glick, a 2009 graduate of SIUE, has been named a Marketing Specialist for SIUE Intercollegiate Athletics.

Glick returns to SIUE after serving as the Director of Marketing, Promotions, and Special Events at the University of South Carolina Upstate. Glick managed and supervised the day-to-day operations of marketing, advertising, corporate sponsorship, broadcast operations, and the external licensing/branding program for the department of athletics.

He also was the athletic department administrator for the "Spartan Army" student fan group and designed and implemented the first-ever student rewards system to track and increase student attendance at home USC Upstate athletic events. He was responsible for the execution and placement of USC Upstate licensed apparel in the local USC Upstate marketplace as well as administering and implementing the online ticket sales database for all home USC Upstate athletic events.

Glick graduated from the sport management master's program at SIUE. While in school, he worked as marketing and promotions assistant for the athletic department.

Before coming to SIUE, Glick earned a bachelor's in Business Administration from Slippery Rock University while playing for the men's basketball program until graduation in 2005.
