Our entire athletics family at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville embraces the opportunity to provide our talented student-athletes with the best possible experience we can give them at the Division I level. Having made the transition to Division I athletics as a member of the Ohio Valley Conference and as an affiliate member of the member of the Missouri Valley Conference (men's soccer), our University has made the commitment for our student-athletes to compete at the highest levels both in the classroom and on the playing field. In order to continue this momentum from this significant decision, we hope you will assist with that commitment as well.
We strive to provide our student-athletes with the best facilities in which to train and compete. The renovation of the Vadalabene Center was a landmark step for our men's and women's basketball programs. The addition of a new state-of-the-art artificial turf for our track and soccer complex, completed in 2009, allows our student-athletes to train and compete outdoors virtually year-round.
Our plans do not stop there. We must continue to push forward and reinvest in our most precious resource--our student-athletes. Your gift will send a strong message about your commitment to the importance of providing the necessary resources for our student-athletes and their "world-class experience."
